Elixir Audits, Chartered Accountants
Day one

Study support for ICAG and CITG, from the month you join

4 partners

You will work directly with one

All year

We recruit continuously rather than in a single annual intake

Why here

How training works here

Depth across sectors, technical support behind you, and a short line to the partner. These are the specific things that follow from that.

An Elixir Audits colleague at the firm's Accra office

You are on the engagement

Not preparing schedules for somebody who is on the engagement. You attend the planning meeting, you do fieldwork, and you are in the room at clearance.

A partner reviews your work

Directly, and tells you what was wrong with it. That is how you get better, and it is what most trainees say they did not get elsewhere.

Exams are supported, not tolerated

Study leave, fees, and a manager who plans around your exam diet rather than treating it as an inconvenience.

Breadth across sectors

Mining support, oil and gas, financial services, NGOs, healthcare and manufacturing, within your first two years.

Why join

What you get for joining

Eight things the firm holds to. Ask about any of them at interview.

Work that stays in Ghana

Ghanaian businesses, audited and advised to international standards. The companies you work on employ people here.

Colleagues who answer

Small enough that you are known by name, and that asking a question is quicker than working around not knowing.

Work that gets recognised

Exam passes and the year's work are marked at the firm's awards night, and the people who did the work are named.

Clients worth the hours

Mining support, oil and gas, financial services, NGOs, healthcare and manufacturing. The network you build here you keep.

One office, easy to reach

1 Alex Nkrumah Street, Airport West, near the city centre and on the routes most people already travel.

Help when health gets in the way

We contribute to medical bills and make room when someone is dealing with a health problem, rather than expecting it not to happen.

Hours that flex

Working hours that move around study, family and the rest of your life, agreed with your manager rather than requested each time.

Engagements that stretch you

Work chosen to move you on rather than to fill your time, and reviewed by the person who set it.

Open roles

Where we are hiring

We recruit across these levels throughout the year. If your level is not listed, apply anyway and we will keep you on file.

Process

How we recruit

Four steps, and we tell you where you stand at each one. If you are unsuccessful you will hear that too.

What we assess on Judgement and technical ability, tested through a short work sample and a structured interview rather than through a personality questionnaire. We would rather see how you handle a real problem.

Application

CV and a short note on why practice, and why here. No covering letter of three pages required.

Acknowledged within 3 working days

Technical exercise

A short, job-relevant exercise you complete in your own time. It is the same for every candidate at your level and it is marked against a rubric.

About 45 minutes

Interview with a manager

Structured, on the exercise and on your experience. You will meet the person you would actually report to.

Week 2 to 3

Partner conversation

Less formal. What you want from your career, and whether we can give you it. Offers follow within a week.

Week 3 to 4

The firm

Who you would be joining

One office in Airport West, and clients across mining support, oil and gas, energy, financial services, NGOs and healthcare.
