Everything published on this website, including the articles, the guides, the tax calculator, the Financial Health Check and the audit readiness checklist, is general information. It is not audit, tax, legal, accounting or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for advice on your own circumstances.

Tax law and reporting requirements in Ghana change, sometimes at short notice and sometimes with retrospective effect. Material on this site is accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date shown, and may not be accurate afterwards.

The calculators and the Health Check

The tax calculator applies published rates to figures you enter. It cannot know whether a treaty applies, whether an exemption has a proper legal basis, whether your facts differ from the assumptions built into it, or whether the law has changed since it was last reviewed. Each tool shows the date it was last reviewed and by whom.

The Financial Health Check produces an indicative result from self-assessed answers, measured against defined good practice. It is not a benchmark against other businesses, it is not an audit or a review, and it does not constitute an opinion on your financial position or on the effectiveness of your controls.

We take care to keep these accurate, but we do not warrant that they are free from error, and we are not liable for any decision taken in reliance on a figure or a score produced by them.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its content, including loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Where we accept an engagement, our liability is governed by the engagement letter for that work and not by these terms.

Links to other sites

Where we link to legislation, a regulator or another organisation, that is for your convenience. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their availability. A link is not an endorsement.

Intellectual property

The content of this website, including the text, the design, the Elixir Financial Health Framework and the Elixir Audits name and logo, belongs to us or is used with permission.

You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce substantial parts, adapt the framework, or use our name or logo without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website.
