Worlanyo brings 46 years in the profession to the partnership, 28 of them in accounting and the 18 since in audit, across financial reporting and the governance of practice itself.
Up through the ledger
The first 28 years were accounting. He started as a junior accounts officer and rose to principal accountant, across several sectors on the way. That is a career spent inside the finance function rather than visiting it, from supervised work through to running accounting operations on his own judgement, and it is why he reads a set of accounts the way the person who prepared them does.
Eighteen years on audit
For the last 18 years the work has been audit: contributing to engagements, then leading them, across industries. He has worked every part of an audit rather than a specialism within one, which is what makes him useful on the files where the question is methodology rather than a single balance.
The technical anchor
The firm has grown quickly, and experience of this depth keeps the judgement alongside the growth. His technical review covers the engagements where the accounting is genuinely difficult.
What that gives clients
Practical work on internal controls and financial oversight, and a read on the problems particular to a sector rather than a generic checklist. Where a client is unsure whether a weakness is serious, he is the person who has seen enough of them to say.
